Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of February 24th, 2026.

Trafficmind operates global network security infrastructure designed to protect the availability, integrity, and performance of internet services. Respecting privacy is fundamental to how we design, build, and operate our systems. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, under what circumstances we share it, and the rights available to individuals whose data we process.

Trafficmind is operated by TMN SA, Rue du Grand Chêne 5, 1003 Lausanne, Switzerland. We operate under Swiss law and comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection revFADP, the EU General Data Protection Regulation GDPR, the UK GDPR, and applicable United States state privacy laws where relevant.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our website, interact with us directly, attend our events, communicate with our teams, or use our products and services. It also applies when you act as a representative of a customer, partner, or vendor.

Certain products or services may provide additional privacy disclosures specific to those offerings. In the event of a conflict, the product specific notice will apply.

Our Role in Processing Personal Data

Trafficmind acts in different roles depending on the context.

When you interact directly with Trafficmind, for example by visiting our website, submitting a form, communicating with our sales or support teams, or applying for a position, we act as a data controller. In this role, we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data.

When we provide network level services such as DDoS mitigation, authoritative DNS, content delivery, or web application firewall services, we act as a data processor on behalf of our customers. In those cases, our customers determine the purposes and legal basis for processing. Our processing activities are governed by contractual agreements, including Data Processing Agreements where applicable. If you are an end user of a website protected by Trafficmind, you should direct privacy related inquiries to that website operator.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

When you communicate with us, request information, register for events, or create an account, we may collect your name, business contact information, company details, billing information, and the content of your communications. If you apply for employment, we may collect professional and educational information included in your application materials.

When you visit our website or use our services, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including IP addresses, device and browser characteristics, authentication data, timestamps, usage data, and security event information.

As a provider of network security services, we process limited operational traffic data necessary to deliver and secure our services. This may include IP addresses, DNS query metadata, network telemetry, and traffic patterns. We process this information solely to provide service functionality, detect and mitigate malicious activity, maintain availability, and improve network performance. We do not use this operational data to create behavioral profiles of identifiable individuals.

In certain cases, we may obtain professional contact information from publicly available sources or reputable business data providers to maintain accurate records and support legitimate business development activities.

How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to provide and secure our services, manage customer relationships, authenticate users, process transactions, respond to support requests, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, improve our infrastructure, and comply with legal obligations.

For individuals who interact with us in a business capacity, we may use contact information to communicate about relevant services, product updates, or industry developments, in accordance with applicable law.

Trafficmind does not sell personal data.

Legal Basis for Processing

Where required by applicable law, we rely on recognized legal bases to process personal data. These may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as ensuring network security and preventing fraud, or consent where required. When processing is based on consent, it may be withdrawn at any time.

When acting as a processor, the legal basis for processing is determined by our customer as the data controller.

Sharing of Personal Data

We share personal data only where necessary and under appropriate safeguards.

We may share data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating infrastructure, processing payments, providing analytics, delivering professional services, or supporting our business operations. These providers are contractually required to protect personal data and use it only for specified purposes.

We may share data within the Trafficmind corporate group under appropriate legal and technical safeguards.

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process. As a Swiss company, Trafficmind is subject to Swiss jurisdiction. Requests for disclosure must comply with applicable legal procedures.

International Data Transfers

Trafficmind operates a globally distributed infrastructure. Personal data may be processed in Switzerland, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, including relevant UK and Swiss addendums where applicable. We also implement technical and organizational safeguards to ensure an appropriate level of data protection.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, to maintain security, and to resolve disputes.

Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data and the applicable legal requirements. When personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal policies.

Security

Trafficmind implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include access controls, encryption in transit, network segmentation, monitoring systems, and incident response procedures.

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously evaluate and enhance our safeguards in line with industry standards and evolving threats.

Automated Processing

Trafficmind does not engage in automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Security filtering and traffic mitigation decisions are technical processes intended to protect infrastructure and service availability.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability where applicable. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
